CHLY 101.7FM, in collaboration with CVOX, hires LJI Reporter Heather Watson
Executive Director and Station Manager Jesse Woodward is excited to announce the hiring of LJI Reporter Heather Watson in the Comox Valley, and a new collaboration between CHLY 101.7FM and online-only community radio station CVOX.
CVOX, located in the Comox Valley, is currently in the process of applying for its community radio station licence with the CRTC.

Watson is a storyteller and award-winning filmmaker with a diploma in Fine Arts from Langara College in Vancouver, BC. She completed an Independent Directed Study in Journalism with the support and mentorship of the Saturna Scribbler in 2012 and has explored storytelling through film, visual art, creative writing and theatre.
With top-up funding provided by the Community Radio Fund of Canada’s Local Journalism Initiative, Watson will report on civic and community news in the Comox Valley and Oceanside area for both CHLY 101.7FM and CVOX.
